A Note on the Name
The installation was named Fort Bragg until June 2023, when the Army renamed it Fort Liberty. Effective February 10, 2025, the Army redesignated it Fort Bragg, this time in honor of Private First Class Roland L. Bragg, a World War II paratrooper and Silver Star recipient.
